Stanway Villa Tournament Winners September 2006
Under 9's Blues Win Second Tournament in a Row
Cornard Dynamos Under 9's Blues have won their second tournament in a row after visiting Stanway Villa FC on Saturday 2nd September. Having previously won at Cressing the team have scored an impressive 37 goals and only conceeded 3 in both tournaments to yet again gain maximum points on the day. Angus Airey returned as goal keeper and every player apart from him got on the scoresheet.
Robert Addison scoring (8) Thomas Baker (3) Joe Pilgrim (3) Jordan Roberts (4) Peter Millar (2) George Brett (1) managed to keep teams from Harlow Town, Colchester Athletic, Brookland Boys and Stanway Villa busy during the round robin competition that was played on a league basis.
Captain for the day Angus Airey collected the trophy on behalf of the team that will now be placed in Dynamos trophy cabinet. This was the teams last friendly match before the season begins on September 10th when they are at home to Brookland Boys Blues at 11.30am.

Under 9's Blues win Cressing Tournament

Both teams travelled to Cressing Sports & Social Y.F.C.
after being
invited to take part in a 7 a side competition. Cressing are a new team who will
play in the Chelmsford League and this was their first ever tournament. The competition was
run on a
league basis against teams from Chelmsford City, Stanway Rovers, Cressing and
Colchester Athletic. Dynamos Blues proved to strong for every other team scoring
16 goals and conceeding none to win the trophy.
Dynamos Reds were also able to claim creditable performances even though some regular players were missing. Because the competition was league based both Dynamos teams had to play each other.
Peter Millar collected the trophy on behalf of the team having shared goal keeping duties with Joe Pilgrim and Robert Addison allowing every player to play on the pitch during the competition. Goals from Thomas Baker, George Brett, Jake Sumner, Robert Addison, Joe Pilgrim and Jordan Roberts showed that the every member of the team can attack during a match and this was a clear advantage during the competition.
Both Dynamos teams will play at Stanway Villa's tournament on 02/09/06.

Thank you everyone. All the Under 9's have now completed their registration cards and club subscriptions. We are now ready for the season on September 10th. Yesterday at training I mentioned how both teams might be interested in purchasing a reversable fleece that would have the club name on the back.
This would not be kit supplied by the club but by ourselves.
You can view the jackets by clicking on the link below and viewing 'bench wear'. This company have been selected by Dynamos to provide new kits for this season. If you would like to order the jackets (parents can have one as well) I will forward the order with instructions for printing etc (it might also be a good idea to put the players initials on the jackets for ease of identification)

Stanway Villa have invited both teams to take place in a 7 a side competition on Saturday 2nd September 2006. This will begin in the morning with registration taking place at about 9.00am. I will enter two teams if enough players are available.
