The players above were some of the first to ever play for Dynamos during 1973. As a result of this picture being published in the press we are able to put names to nearly all the players. Dynamos would like to keep in touch with all its past players and is happy to hear from anyone who used to play for the club. If it can be arranged we are happy to stage a reunion so that old friends can again meet each other and keep in touch.

If you were a Cornard Dynamos player in the past and want to get in touch with your old team or friends contact us on the link below and I will post your messages on this notice board. We also have other old team pictures on our site. Click on this link to Photo Gallery and see if you recognise anyone from the past?

Hi Everyone,

Just thought i would send an email to say i was very impressed with website.....even if the pictures don't do me any justice (brought back some memories). I would be interested if you could add a message board so maybe ex-players could rekindle their youth with a fun football competition at some time which might help raise money for club funds in some way.

I am sure i am just forgotten face as i have not lived in Cornard since i was 18 but have fond memories and trophies to remind me of my times at the club, in all i played for the club right from under 9's through to under 16's .... i was in the side that the late Jim Bates trained for all the years and i believe there should be something on the site which could include tributes to those who gave so much time and effort which never quite gets recognised.

I now have even more interest in the club as i was pleased to see you are joining the Ipswich & Suffolk league as one of my three sons plays in that league and the other two will probably follow in the coming seasons (it would be great to see the old ground again). My oldest son plays for Tollgate FC a Bury based club that i have helped to set up in the past season (currently treasurer)....we have started from humble background of one team that we have continued from primary school and i hope to take my second son's team into this league at under 10 level at the start of 2007-2008 season as i manage the school side.

Thanks for the memories...keep up the good work!

Theres also another photo of the back row which has appeared in the local press and national a couple of times called `Faklands United` , which may also be worth putting on the site, as some 5 or 6 players actually attended that particular war.

Hi,

I am Simon Shaddock and I am on the front row second left as you look at the picture, pictured to my right is Steve McCarthy (now living in London). Either side of the football is Billy Checkly (to the right as you look, I think he is also in London) and to the left is Kevin Stagg who still lives locally.

I hope this is of some help and please let me know by return if you are organising a reunion and the situation regarding a copy of the picture in the paper.

Kind regards

Simon
